I loved all these stories. You always seem to write what I’m thinking. How do you do that?
I especially liked Ruth in The Archives. Sounds like she & I could be friends. One day I want to come visit you at the archives so you can show me how it all works. The folks at my local archives aren’t very friendly or helpful.
Keep being the light in this shady world we live in.
Yes, it’s early in the sunny season & I’m already craving refuge in the shade most of the day, however, I wish I could avoid all the shadiness that is happening in the world both near & far these days.
The amber is almost miraculous. The minute we put it on her, she calmed down considerably. She still feels the pain & discomfort of teething but it is MUCH reduced. Thank you again for the seeds. xo
Congratulations on Trackless Wild's growing readership! Thank you for highlighting the above posts. Several were before I joined, so I am going to read them. The photo of Little Fawn and yourself is precious. Not only a beautiful background, but two beautiful people. Little Fawn is growing fast. She has such presence.✨💖
Thank you, Jenny. This means a lot coming from you. Little Fawn is still in a low percentile for her age--2%--but I too see her growing. Yes to her having presence. That is very well said.
archives are fascinating places. I've spent a lot of time in my home town's library looking at newspapers from just the last 50 years and rediscovering so much. And even those newspapers were thrown into a skip before being rescued so who knows what else has already gone? Australia isn't great at history, unless it's Anzac Day, sports achievements or white settlement. So many other stories lost
Campbell, I need a translator for your comments, LOL. What is a skip? Trashcan? What is Anzac Day? No need to answer, really, because I can google. So funny that we speak the same language but have such different words & references. Big hearts to that phrase "Stories Lost."
yes a skip is like a dumpster. big bin brought in to throw everything out. I'll let you look at the history of Anzac day. it is funny how the english language gets subverted in different countries hahahaha... for example our political party The Liberals are actually the equivalent of your conservative/republican party. gets quite confusing sometimes
I read your writing and I am always transported to a different place or space in time. I love all of these, but especially the archives and the story of Baby Fawn. Please keep taking us to new places and reminding us of history so we can work towards not having it repeat itself over and over.
Renae, thank you thank you for taking the time & energy to read the pieces. I appreciate that very much. I will do the best I can to keep gathering up the beautiful stories of the world. And the otherworld. xo
Somehow, I missed this one when it was posted. Thankfully, it surfaced today.
You are probably out watching sandhill cranes dance. :)

I got a chuckle out of "shady" world. I wish it were shadier than it is, but a different kind of shady.

Those are certainly amazing pieces and I am so glad I got to enjoy them at their debuts.
My daughter used those baby necklaces too. Looking forward to more wonderful writings!

Let's cling to every little blessing in life!
