Simmons is an icon in the nature & writing realm, plus a good friend. I admire him and what he does with his vast talents.
You won't find an artist anywhere more committed to his art than Raven Waters. As Seth Godin would say, He ships the work, and that's very impressive. Not only does he paint daily, he is committed to his Substack. I learn from his smart commentary about art, and I truly enjoy his style, his creativity, and the awe-inspiring paintings he produces.
My farmer neighbor is making it happen. I share so many of the same dreams as Becki, and I enjoy reading what she is thinking about and experiencing. Her mysticism especially calls me. I'm so glad to share this moment in time with her.
Reading Mary Alice is always going to make a better person out of you.
Nature's Pharmacy looks at wild medicines with a scientific eye. Cassandra's writing is brave and brilliant, and she brings me information that I can't find anywhere else. I'm proud to support her good work in the world. And read her book, if you haven't.
I keep calling MK Creel the "Mary Oliver of the south" because it's true. But my love for MK's poetry is more than that--she speaks from a deep place of communion with nature and her work always adds meaning and connection to my life. She is truly gifted. Follow her.
